NBTB 2017 application is live — apply and pursue your passion

Student journalists have had a lot to say in the presidential campaign that ended with the election of Donald John Trump as our nation’s next president. And whatever one’s politics, it seems certain that student journalists again will be covering, commenting and creating impactful stories about America, both at home and abroad, for the next four years and more.

If you’re a student journalist committed to telling both sides of the story, consider Newsroom by the Bay. Our program, now in its 7th year, is a space where you can meet and consider perspectives of students from the U.S. as well as around the world. You’ll have access to Stanford’s world-class libraries and museums, experts and guest speakers both on campus and from major news organizations, and reporting trips to San Francisco and Silicon Valley where you’ll be doing real reporting and real stories for real-time publication.

Click on Worlds Apart, our pop-up project on homelessness last summer, for a good look at what we’re talking about.

Interested? Check out our application, sign up for our mailing list, like us on Facebook and follow us @newsroomBTB on Twitter. We look forward to hearing from you!
