Sunday check-in, orientation and dinner for residential, commuter students

Hello campers and families!

We’re excited to meet you in a couple of days. As we’ve mentioned in our emails to you and our Summer 2013 FAQs, if you are a residential student, please plan on checking in this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at our program dorm, Adelfa House in the Lagunitas housing complex.

If you are a commuter student, please be at Adelfa by 3 p.m. for our program start. We’ll begin with a welcome, introductions and some helpful information and rules of the road for all students.

At 5:30 p.m., we’ll have dinner at Lagunitas Dining, and commuters are our guests (residential students will already have dinner privileges).

After dinner, we’ll regroup at Adelfa so that news teams can select their reporting expeditions for the week, order boxed lunches, complete tech tasks … and bond with their news teams and team leaders.

Commuters can expect to leave at 8 p.m. and we appreciate their attendance for as long as possible on this first opening night.

Okay … time to go unpack more boxes and start wearing those T-shirts. Can’t wait to see you all!
