Our academic sponsor is the Stanford News Service. Led by Director Dan Stober, the News service is part of the Office of University Communications. It provides assistance to reporters and covers much of the university’s news via the daily digital Stanford Report. The news service also helps to publicize and handle media relations for major events, provides media training for key faculty and administrators and serves as a liaison between scholars and media outlets. We’re proud to have the Stanford News Service as part of our learning community.

Based on WordPress, SNO websites give their users design tools to fully customize their website without needing to touch a line of code. With a homepage built entirely out of drag and drop widgets, and each widget having more than a dozen configurable options, including colors and widget styles, each news staff can create a website that fits its own personality and needs.SNO sites have all the features and tools a scholastic journalism site needs — including the ability to post slideshows, videos, podcasts, polls and more. At NBTB, students work in teams to create their own websites, using their choice of any of SNO’s
highly flexible designs.
